What is LMSable and how the AI workflow works

LMSable turns an answer from the AI chat you already use into a file your LMS can run. Read this once before you build anything.

What LMSable is not

LMSable does not hold an AI account and does not call an AI on your behalf. You never hand it an API key, and nothing is sent to an AI from our side. It is a converter: you bring the AI's answer, LMSable validates it and packages it.

The three-step workflow

  1. Describe it once. Fill in a short brief - topic, audience, goal. LMSable turns it into a ready prompt.
  2. Use your own AI. Copy the prompt into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or any assistant you trust, then bring the answer back and paste it in.
  3. Download and run. LMSable validates the answer and packages it into a SCORM 1.2 or .h5p file. Upload it to your LMS, keep the editable source, and export again whenever you want.

This loop repeats at every level: for a whole course outline, for one lesson, for one quiz.

The tools

  • Course Builder (/course) - plans chapters, fills lessons with AI interactions, text, video or PowerPoint slides, then packages one SCORM 1.2 course. Free plan, sign-in with an e-mailed code.
  • AI H5P Generator (/h5p) - one AI answer becomes an .h5p activity, 14 activity types. No account.
  • PowerPoint to SCORM (/ppt) - a PDF export of your slides becomes a SCORM 1.2 package with navigation and completion tracking. No account.
  • AI Quiz Generator (/quiz) - one AI answer becomes a SCORM 1.2 quiz that reports the score and every answer. No account.
  • Certificate Generator (/certificate) - designs a certificate in your browser, no upload.

What you should see

Every tool ends in a downloadable file: a .zip for SCORM, an .h5p file, or a PDF/PNG for certificates. If a tool asks you to sign in, that is only Course Builder, because it keeps your courses between visits.

If something goes wrong

  • The AI's answer does not paste back cleanly: copy the whole block the chat returned, including the opening and closing brackets or tags.
  • Nothing happens after you paste the answer: check the exact button label for that step - most screens use Copy prompt then a matching Save or Import action.
  • The exported file does not open in your LMS: see Troubleshooting: the course does not start.
