Tutorial: your first SCORM course in 10 minutes

Build a downloadable SCORM 1.2 course from a title and one AI chat answer. About 10 minutes, most of it spent in your AI chat.

Before you start

Have your AI chat (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or similar) open in another tab. LMSable has no AI of its own - you use yours.

Steps

1. Go to /course and enter your e-mail. Click Send sign-in code, then enter the 6-digit code from your inbox and click Sign in. See Sign in with an email code if the code does not arrive.
2. Click New course, type a Course title, pick the Interactive book format, and click Create course. On the Format step, click Save and continue.
3. In the Course brief, fill in Target audience and Goal. Click Generate with AI, then Copy prompt.
4. Paste the prompt into your AI chat and run it. Copy the whole JSON answer it returns.
5. Back in LMSable, paste the JSON into the Paste the AI response box and click Import lessons. This becomes your table of contents.
6. On the Lessons step, click Edit on an interaction lesson, pick a material type if asked, then click Copy prompt. Paste it into your AI chat, paste the answer into Paste the AI response and click Save. Repeat for as many lessons as you want filled - empty lessons are skipped at export, so you do not have to fill every one.
7. Go to the Export step and click Download SCORM package.

What you should see

A .zip file downloads. It contains a SCORM 1.2 package you can upload to Moodle, iSpring Learn, Docebo, SAP SuccessFactors, TalentLMS or Cornerstone.

If something goes wrong

• The sign-in code never arrives: see Sign in with an email code.
• The JSON paste is rejected: copy the AI's answer again, making sure you include the full JSON block and nothing else the chat added around it.
• The downloaded package does not start in your LMS: see Troubleshooting: the course does not start.
