Troubleshooting: the course does not start or does not save progress

Check these causes in order before contacting us - most launch failures come from how the package was uploaded, not from the file itself.

The package was unzipped before upload

LMSable exports a single .zip file. Most LMS platforms, including Moodle, expect that exact .zip as the SCORM package upload - if you extract it and upload the folder or individual files instead, the activity will not recognise it as SCORM. Upload the .zip itself, unmodified.

The LMS activity was set up for the wrong SCORM version

LMSable packages are SCORM 1.2. Some LMSs ask for the SCORM version when you add the course - choose SCORM 1.2 there. Others, such as Moodle, read the version from the package. If the activity previously held a SCORM 2004 package, create a new activity instead of replacing the file.

A pop-up or frame blocker stopped the player

Some LMS players launch SCORM content in a new window or pop-up. Browser pop-up blockers, or strict iframe/CSP settings on the LMS server, can silently prevent the player from opening. Allow pop-ups for your LMS domain and try again.

Progress or score is not saving

This is almost always a SCORM version or LMS configuration mismatch rather than a problem with the package content - re-check the SCORM version setting on the activity, and confirm the pass mark and score thresholds were set in LMSable before you exported (see Export your course to SCORM 1.2).

If none of this fixes it

Note which LMS and version you use, and whether the failure is on first launch or only after some progress, then write to [email protected].
