Ask for review: share a link and collect comments

Send a link to a frozen version of your course. Reviewers open it in a browser and leave comments, with no account of their own.

Before you start

You are signed in and at least one lesson has content. Creating a link saves a version of the course, built the same way as an export, and the link shows that frozen version.

Steps

  1. Open your course and go to the Export step.
  2. In Ask for review, click Ask for review to create a review link (reviewers can comment), or Create view-only link if you only want them to see the course.
  3. LMSable copies the link to your clipboard automatically when it can. Otherwise click Copy next to the link.
  4. Send the link to your client or colleague.

What you should see

A row appears under Ask for review with a pill (Review or View only), the version name, when the link expires, when it was last opened, and how many comments are open versus in total. If the course changed since your last saved version, a new version marked Shared also appears in the Versions panel.

  • Click Update shared version to send reviewers your current course content. Existing comments stay attached to the link.
  • Click Revoke to end access immediately. The revoked link and its comments stay in the list for 7 days, so you can still use them with Fix with AI.

Limits

  • Today (Pro is not on sale yet), every account can have 5 active links per course and up to 200 comments per link. Every new link is active for 30 days.
  • After Pro launches, the Free plan allows 1 active link per course, up to 50 comments per link and links active for up to 14 days; Pro allows 5 links, 200 comments and up to 90 days. A new link lasts 30 days, or your plan's maximum if that is shorter. See Free and Pro: what is included.

If something goes wrong

  • "Link limit reached. Revoke an existing review link first." You are at your plan's limit of active links. Revoke one you no longer need, then create a new one.
  • "At least one lesson must be completed before exporting." A review link needs a version of the course, built the same way as a SCORM export. Fill at least one lesson, then try again.
  • "Storage limit for this project reached. Delete an older version first." The version the link needs could not be saved. Delete an older version in Save and restore versions, then try again.
