Connect Claude on the web (claude.ai) with a connector

Connect claude.ai to your LMSable account so Claude can read your courses directly, instead of you pasting them in by hand.

Before you start

You need a Claude account with the connectors feature. Editing your courses from Claude is part of the Pro plan; reading them works on every plan once the connection is enabled on your account.

Steps

1. In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
2. Paste the LMSable connector address shown on the connections screen.
3. If LMSable asks you to sign in, enter the 6-digit code from your e-mail.
4. On the LMSable consent screen, choose an access level: Read only, or Read and edit if your plan allows it. Every edit Claude makes saves a lesson version first, so you can always go back.
5. Click Allow.

What you should see

Claude confirms the connection. Ask it "List my courses" to check it can see your account.

Disconnecting

In Claude: Settings → Connected apps, find LMSable, and click Revoke. You can also revoke it under Connected apps on LMSable's AI chat connection screen.

If something goes wrong

• 401 Unauthorized when Claude tries to use the connection: the connection may have been revoked - reconnect from step 1.
• 404 Not Found: the AI chat connection is not enabled for your account yet. LMSable is rolling this out gradually.
• "Editing ... is part of Pro": your plan does not include editing. A read-only connection gets a "Denied" message about the missing scope instead - reconnect with Read and edit. See Free and Pro: what is included.
• The consent screen shows a different app name than expected: check it carefully before clicking Allow - it names the exact application requesting access.
