Test your package in SCORM Cloud

SCORM Cloud (by Rustici Software) is a third-party service that plays SCORM packages and shows what they report. You can use it to test your course before uploading it to your own LMS. It is not part of LMSable.

Before you start

Download your course package first: Export your course to SCORM 1.2. Do not unzip it. You need your own SCORM Cloud account; check Rustici's site for the account options available to you.

Steps

Sign in to SCORM Cloud and go to your course list.
Add a new course and upload the .zip file you downloaded from LMSable.
Launch a preview or test registration of the course.
Go through the lessons as a learner would.
Open the registration's details to see the reported status and score.

These steps are a general outline, not SCORM Cloud's official instructions. Follow SCORM Cloud's own documentation if a step does not match what you see.

What you should see

The course launches and plays inside SCORM Cloud's player. The registration shows the status and the score the package sent: the quiz or test result if the course has scored lessons, otherwise the percentage of completed lessons.

What SCORM Cloud reports

LMSable packages use SCORM 1.2 and send the completion status (cmi.core.lesson_status), the score (cmi.core.score.raw), answers and time - see What your LMS will report for what the package sends and when.

If something goes wrong

The course does not launch, or shows a blank player: see Troubleshooting: the course does not start.
SCORM Cloud reports an error on upload: confirm you uploaded the .zip itself, not its unzipped contents.

Once the package checks out, upload it to your own LMS - for example Upload to Moodle.
