Upload to TalentLMS

Add the .zip file LMSable gave you as a SCORM unit in a TalentLMS course.

Before you start

Download your course package first: Export your course to SCORM 1.2. Do not unzip it - upload the .zip file as it was downloaded. LMSable does not publish to TalentLMS directly; you always upload the file yourself.

Steps

  1. In TalentLMS, open the course you want to add the package to, or create a new course.
  2. Add a new unit and choose the SCORM unit type.
  3. Upload the .zip file you downloaded from LMSable.
  4. Save the unit.

These steps are a general outline, not TalentLMS's official instructions. Menu names and steps differ between TalentLMS plans and interface updates. Follow TalentLMS's own help center if a step does not match what you see.

What you should see

The unit appears in the course. Opening it launches your LMSable course inside TalentLMS. Which results TalentLMS shows, and where, is up to TalentLMS.

What the package sends

LMSable packages use SCORM 1.2 and send the completion status (cmi.core.lesson_status) and the score (cmi.core.score.raw), plus answers and time - see What your LMS will report for what the package sends and when.

If something goes wrong

  • The unit does not open, or shows a blank player: see Troubleshooting: the course does not start.
  • TalentLMS rejects the file: confirm you uploaded the .zip itself, not its unzipped contents.
  • The score looks like a progress percentage: a course without any quiz, test or interaction lesson has nothing to grade, so it reports the percentage of completed lessons as the score.
