Upload to LearnDash (WordPress)

Add the .zip file LMSable gave you as a SCORM lesson in a LearnDash course on WordPress.

Before you start

Download your course package first: Export your course to SCORM 1.2. Do not unzip it - upload the .zip file as it was downloaded. LearnDash plays SCORM packages through a SCORM add-on, which must be installed and active. LMSable does not publish to LearnDash directly; you always upload the file yourself.

Steps

  1. In your WordPress admin, open the LearnDash course you want to add the package to.
  2. Add a new lesson (or topic) where the course should play.
  3. In the lesson's content type or settings, choose the SCORM option your add-on provides.
  4. Upload the .zip file you downloaded from LMSable.
  5. Save and publish the lesson.

Note

These steps are a general outline, not LearnDash's official instructions. Menu names and steps differ between LearnDash versions and SCORM add-ons. Follow your add-on's own documentation if a step does not match what you see.

What you should see

Opening the lesson launches your LMSable course inside the add-on's player. Which results LearnDash shows, and where, depends on the add-on.

What the package sends

LMSable packages use SCORM 1.2 and send the completion status (cmi.core.lesson_status) and the score (cmi.core.score.raw), plus answers and time. How the add-on stores and displays them is up to the add-on - see What your LMS will report for what the package sends and when.

If something goes wrong

  • The lesson does not open, or shows a blank player: see Troubleshooting: the course does not start.
  • WordPress rejects the upload: your site or host may limit the upload size. Ask your site administrator or host to raise the limit.
  • No SCORM option appears in the lesson settings: your LearnDash install may be missing a SCORM add-on. Install one first.
